The BISON Fund
About the BISON Scholarship Fund :
The BISON Scholarship Fund is a privately funded tuition assistance program for low-income children living in the city of Buffalo, Lackawanna, West Seneca, Cheektowaga, Snyder/Eggertsville, Kenmore and Town of Tonawanda. Families awarded a BISON scholarship are able to send their child to a private school of choice.
Award recipients are selected during an annual lottery drawing.
Award amounts vary depending on the family's income, household size, and chosen school's tuition cost.
Families are required to pay the difference between the school tuition and the grant. Families are required to contribute a minimum of $500 towards their child's education.
The largest grant available per child is $1,400.
