Dear Parents/Guardians:

Thank you for your interest in Our Lady of Black Rock School!

I know that choosing a school that meets the needs of your children is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. So, I enthusiastically encourage you to explore all that Our Lady of Black Rock has to offer. I believe you will discover that the educational and spiritual foundation provided for our students will exceed your expectations!

We are a family-friendly and diverse community situated in the heart of Buffalo’s Riverside/Black Rock neighborhood, full of rich history and close by to the many art, music and cultural venues such as the Albright Knox Art Gallery, the Buffalo Historical Society, and the Burchfield Penny Museum.

At OLBR School, we strive to nurture the development of the whole child through a solid educational curriculum, extracurricular activities, and cultural experiences that meet the diverse interests and needs of our student population. We offer academic intervention for students who need additional support in specific subject areas. Our children participate in daily prayer and weekly liturgies. They receive instruction in art, music, technology, library skills, physical education, and Spanish. There is an after-school program provided by the Boys and Girls Club to assist working parents.

Our dedicated faculty is committed to providing learning opportunities to support academic achievement and learning. Our students are challenged to question, observe, and be problem solvers: all of which are life-long skills applicable to real life situations. Teachers follow NYS and Diocesan curriculum to maximize every student’s highest potential. Our goal is to yield well-rounded, faith-filled individuals that continue to find success long after graduation from OLBR.

Tuition is affordable also. Financial aid is available through the Diocese of Buffalo (CTGP), and the Bison Fund for families who qualify.

In this folder you will find several important tools to guide you through the registration process. In addition to some informational materials on our school, I have included a copy of our tuition plan, an application for our school, and a checklist to make the registration process as easy as possible. You can return all required paperwork in the provided envelope. Please contact our main office at 873-7497 if you have any questions regarding the necessary paperwork.

Thank you again for your interest!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Martha Eadie
